Our son Ryan and his friend Tom from college started talking about spending a year in Australia several years ago. Tom’s uncle was the US Ambassador at the time and invited the boys to visit him when they came. After a year of planning (and working in Washington DC and saving money), the boys left for Australia in January 2016. We started planning our trip soon after and here we are!
